Reach-in wardrobe systems
Alcoves that define Luxembourg bedrooms
Many city flats place the bed along the longest wall and tuck storage into a shallow recess opposite the door. Reach-in carcasses fill that void without projecting into the room more than a bedside table would.
In Grund conversions, stone reveals and uneven floors mean each side panel may need scribe allowances. We survey with laser levels and note out-of-square corners before the workshop cuts panels.
Sliding versus hinged fronts
Sliding doors need roughly 80 mm of overlap track and suit widths from 1.6 m upward where bedside clearance is tight. Hinged pairs work when the room allows an 900 mm swing arc and clients prefer full-width mirror panels.
Kirchberg towers often prefer sliding sets to keep corridor sight lines clean when bedroom doors stay open. Soft-close hardware reduces noise complaints in buildings with strict quiet hours.
Internal modules for daily use
Double hang suits shirts and jackets; long hang takes coats and dresses. Shelves above rails hold seasonal knitwear; drawers at mid height replace chest units that would otherwise block window light.
Shoe stacks near the floor keep pairs visible without a separate rack in the hallway. Tie racks and pull-out trouser bars are optional lines on the drawing when requested.
Depth and services behind the carcass
Standard carcass depth is 580 mm finished, leaving room for hangers without crushing sleeves. Shallower 520 mm runs appear where a pipe chase or vent duct sits behind the wall — common in renovated Ville Haute units.
Electrical outlets inside wardrobes for safe boxes or charging are marked on plans and coordinated with your electrician before install day.
Typical commission band
A single reach-in design pack with workshop drawings and one revision round is listed at €890 on the fee schedule. Install coordination and on-site oversight are priced separately by day rate.
